How disgusting

The Westboro Baptist Church, renowned for their picketing of funerals have announced they will picket Elizabeth Taylors Funeral service becuase of her support of Gay and Aids research. These people are the most disgusting horrible people I have ever heard of.  And they call themselves christians. I am appalled that they have been able to do what they have been doing for so long. Taking their chidren out to these pickets. No matter who has died or what they believe in families should be able to mourn them in peace.

Westboro Baptist Church YOU DISGUST ME!!!!!

As an addendum, these people are the people who say gay people triggered the Christchurch Earthquake. Didnt know God was Gay!

So proud to be a New Zealander

Only in New Zealand. And only at NZ Post.

The royal wedding stamp packs went on sale this week, although not without a hitch - of the wrong kind.
The specially printed Royal Wedding Presentation Pack features an error in it's text: Prince William's birthday has been mis-printed.
The birthday of a future-monarch is not something that is easily kept from public knowledge, so it is well known that the Wills was brought into this world on 21st June 1982. However, in the package, retailing through NZ Post for $19.90, the Prince's birthday is stated as "21 May 1982".
It is believed 4,000 of the special packs featuring the error have been produced.

These could one day be collectors items.

Farewell to an Icon

Elizabeth Taylor has Died. Probably one of the last great screen icons of the golden era of Hollywood died in hospital from congestive heart failure.
In her lifetime she won three academy awards, married several times, twice to the same man, strongly supported Aids sufferers and accumulated fabulous jewels.
Truly a great star has gone. Reunited with her beloved Richard.

A royal Death

Princess Antoinette of Monaco, Countess of Polignac, Baroness of Massy has died at the age of 90.  She was the older sister of the late Prince Ranier, aunt to the reigning Prince of Monaco.  The Palace reported Friday that the Princess passed away overnight at Princess Grace Hospital.  No cause of death was released, but one can expect at the age of 90 that it could be a great many things
She  was deeply involved in animal rights and was the president of Monaco's Society for the Protection of Animals.  She had been married three times throughout her life and had three children.  Her first marriage was to that of the father of her children (although they married after the three had been born) Alexandre Noghès.   That marriage ended in divorce after 3 years, but the relationship had lasted around 10 years total.  She was then married for 60 years to Dr. Jean-Charles Rey and it this union that led to much controversy in the Grimaldi family.  The duo had put together a plan to depose Prince Rainier and have herself declared Regent because she had a son who could inherit the throne.  In order to further the plan, they started rumors that the Prince’s girlfriend at the time was infertile.  Eventually, possibly because of the rumors, the Prince broke of that relationship and famously married American actress Grace Kelly.  One year after their marriage they had Princess Caroline, and a year later Prince Albert was born and the succession argument was thusly put to bed.  However, the damage had been done, Princess Grace had her removed from the Palace and the family was estranged for many years.  Princess Antoinette was lastly married to John Gilpin in 1983.  The union was cut short by his untimely death six weeks after their marriage.
HSH Prince Albert II, the Princess’ nephew, ordered all the flags in the principality to be at half-staff.  She is survived by two of her three children Elisabeth-Anne de Massy and Christian Louis de Massy.

Guess who?

Hilarious pic. But all for a good cause. Daniel Craig as he appears in a video for International Womans Day.

Happy Lá Fhéile Pádraig

To all you irishmen out there I wish you all a happy St Paddys Day.

Heres a few not so well known facts

1. The original color associated with St Patrick is actually Blue but over the years has changed to green.

2. This is funny. The shortest St Patricks Day parade in the world is in Dripsy Cork wehere it lasts only 100 metres, the distance bwetween two pubs.

3. One of the largest Celebrations is in Argentina where street parties attract up to 50,000 people. The catholic church or the irsh community have nothing to do with the celebrations.

can any body say dejavu!!!

Is it just me but does the situation in Libya sound remarkably like that experienced in Iraq a few years back?

However I must say Saif Gaddafi is slightly better looking than Saddams two psychotic sons. If a movie is ever made about this I have a friend who is a dead ringer!!!

So damn proud

Havent blogged for a couple of weeks. Havent really felt like sharing my trivia in the wake of the Christchurch Earthquake.

So I am now back.

Two weeks ago my production of the Boyfriend won five awards at the Napta Awards. i am so proud of this show. We all had so much fun and it was truly a team effort. Thanks to all involved for making this such a special time for me. The cast , the crew, Anna the best co choreographer ever, Warwick the maestro himself and Robina who we coudnt have done without. Then those unseen heroes, Anna and her crew(outstanding as ever) Lyn for turning my costume designs into reality,  Scott and Jon who I never want to do a show without who I trust implicitly with the sound and all things technical, Leanne and Anne for a fab first effort at Prop. I thank you all.

And you know what we had fun which in amateur theatre is what it is all about.

, And a great night was had by all!!!!!!

Oscars Best and Worst Dressed

Here are my picks for best and worst dressed at the academy awards. Both Australians!!!

Firstly the best. Cate Blanchette. Her style has always been impressive. This dress was amazingly gorgeous. Real style.

And then we get Nicole Kidman whos style has been dubious since her divorce from Tom. Just saying!!!
