A 5.4 magnitude earthquake rattled the Bay of Plenty early this morning.
The quake struck 30 kilometres north east of Tauranga at a depth of 210km about 3am.
It may have been felt in the North Island, the Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences said.
Its nice to know it MAY have been felt where it was centred...Doh
